6th  Balfour informational meeting re: graduation supply costs (announcements, cap/gown, scrapbooks, t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc.)

15th – Senior Assembly.  Due:  Balfour payment

Graduation Supply Fee(REQUIRED):  $83.39
Senior dues (REQUIRED):  $20
Senior transcript fee (REQUIRED):  $10
Sr. T-Shirt:  $15 (due to Mr. Cannady by 9/12/14)
Sr. Yearbook Ad:  Full Page-$200; Half Page-$150
ACT with writing:  $54.50**
SAT:  $52.50**
College Application fees: avg. cost is $35-$50**
College Enrollment/Confirmation deposits: avg cost is $200
**Fee waiver may be available for students that qualify for free/reduced lunch.  See Mrs. Hill or Mrs. Voltz.


Graduation SuppliesFull Payment Due: October 15th
Order packets and info re: orders, $$, etc will be dispersed to students on 10/6/14. The required Graduation Supply Fee (w/shipping and handling) is $83.39 (includes cap/gown rental, diploma cover, diploma, & mini diploma). Your final balance will depend on the number of announcements, if you choose a package deal, wearable items, etc. 
Late fee = $50

Senior PortraitsDeadline to take portraits: end of October.

"How to Navigate a College Fair and/or Campus Visit" - September 10th in Bailey Theatre during 5th period.  Mrs. Bledsoe and Mrs. Hill will give tips and advice on how to make the most of your time at a college fair.
College and Career Night  - September 4th at 6:00 p.m. in Bailey Theatre.  Mrs. Hill will present on the college application process, scholarships, financial aid, etc.  All are welcome!

Community Bullying Forum - September 18th at 6:00 p.m. at Samford University Education Building Rm 233.  Parents, educational professionals and community members are invited to hear from experts and learn about the school’s evolving role in preventing and reducing incidences of bullying.  Click here for more information.

The mission of the HHS Guidance & Counseling Dept. is to support the school community in fulfilling the mission of Homewood City Schools.

This is my 13th year at Homewood High. As your counselor, I am available to provide support in various areas: academic, personal/social, & post secondary planning. I have an open door policy, and I am willing and available to assist you. Let's have an amazing 2014-2015 school year!!
